I’m so excited to be a part of today’s Blog Hop! Alex Syberia Designs has been around for a while and started out as a digital stamp company. I’m so glad she’s expanded to clear stamps and dies and that products are now being carried by Simon Says Stamp! She’s incredibly talented and I’m thrilled be coloring her images.

My card today uses a few new products from this month’s release. Front and center is Cindy Lou’s Poppies, which I stamped with a no-line coloring ink over watercolor paper. I used Daniel Smith Watercolors to paint the images. I only used 3 colors: Pyrrol Crimson, Sap Green, and New Gambage.

When I was done watercoloring, I used a black pen to intensify the flower’s centers and draw in the stamens. I die-cut the images and then splattered them with white paint for some texture and interest. The background is lightly ink-blended with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink using the Floral Lattice Stencil (there is a die, too!)

I finished today’s card by embossing a sentiment from the Expressing Gratitude stamp set. Finally, I adorned the card with a few iridescent sequins.
