Simon Says Stamp has just released a Limited Edition Easter Card Kit for 2023. The kit contents are so sweet and I made a vignette box to share. Details on the kit contents can be found below!
I used the kit contents to make two treat bags and a vignette box. The vignette box is the main project. I first painted the vignette box using Distress White Paint. Then I used a honeycomb egg to adhere to the inside of the egg. It fits perfectly! As you can see, I also used the other honeycomb egg on a treat bag – it’s so cute!
Next, I stamped an image from the Sweet Tweets set and colored it with Copic markers. Then, I trimmed it to add at the bottom of the box.
Copics:
Pinks: R20, R21, R22, RV02, RV06, RV09
Greens: YG00, YG06, YG09
Teals: BG000, BG10, BG11, BG13
Purples: V0000, V01, V04
Blues: BG000, BG02, BG07
Browns: E30, E31, E34
Yellows: Y00, Y11, Y15, Y17
For the sentiment, I stamped and embossed and adhered them over some acetate so they can float over the top of the egg. I adhered the acetate to the top of the box using 1/8″ tear-rific tape. In addition, I painted a wooden chick using the Squeezed Lemonade Distress Paint that was included in the kit to adhere to the other gift bag. They are simple treat bags, but are fun for any recipient!

2 pink polka dot treat bags (approximately 7 inches x 5 inches each)
1 gray stripe treat bag (approximately 7 inches x 5 inches each)

Cute project. I had no idea that Vignette Boxes were available through the SSS site or that TH even made those. Cool… I now have an immediate source for those if I want any. I wonder if the honeycomb eggs come in various colors… I thought the colors of those shown with the kit were different. I’ll go back and check on SSS.
I love the scene in front of the honeycomb egg. You’ve done an outstanding job, as always. This would be a good place to hide a little Easter cash for an older child…

Yes, the SSS site does list the honeycomb eggs as coming in various colors. I love the indigo you got. They show colors that are not very springy in the kit pictures. I think maybe a lighter pink or a light purple would have been a better choice, but I don’t do market research LOL.
