Hi there!

My card today is simple and isn’t a layout that’s new. With simple outline dies like the Delicate Florals die from the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Days release, my mind goes to a colorful paper-striped background. We can all give credit to Laura Bassen for this.

I made a paper striped background using my go-to colors from Simon Says Stamp: Lipstick Red, Orange Peel, Sunshine, Banana, Green Apple, Green Leaf, Mint, Audrey Blue, Peacock, Island Blue, Royal Purple, Lavender, Cotton Candy, Doll Pink. I have a storage system in a mesh bag containing my Strips 1 and Strips 2 dies and ALL the Simon Says Stamp cardstock colors pre-cut into strips in Clear Storage Sleeves (sturdy Storage Envelopes can also be used). It’s an easy storage system that allows me to create backgrounds like this quickly.

After creating my background, I trimmed the panel to clean up the sides and added the Delicate Florals die-cut right on top. It’s white and stands out nicely against the colorful background. Then to finish, I added a sentiment from the Reverse Sister sentiment strip set.
