There’s an Instagram Hop today, celebrating Concord & 9th’s new color and product release for April with Friends of Concord & 9th! There are 25 new colors (ink, cardstock, and more) and a few new stamps, dies, and stencils to share so we hope you’ll get a nice variety during the hop.

My card today uses the Triangle Background Dies. I was inspired by a quilt I saw. I have been quilting a lot lately – I made/finished 4 quilts and while it’s all I want to do, I can’t stop cardmaking, so I hope you enjoy the cross-over! Here’s a photo of the quilt that inspires today’s card:

The Triangle Background Dies is perfect for replicating this design on paper! I chose two different color families and chose 5 colors for each color family to die-cut triangles to piece them over the background panel. It’s stitched, so placement is easy! I worked my way down the panel, starting with the pinks and finishing with teals.

When I finished with the panel, I trimmed my panel to 4″ x 5 1/4″ to adhere to a card base. I die-cut a sentiment from the Just Say More Dies and adhered it to the panel and finished by embellishing it with a few Dew Drops. I also used the Swatchbook Stamp and Dies to make swatches so you can see how well the original and new colors compliment each other. I just love it all so much!
