Welcome to Lawn Fawn’s April 2023 Inspiration Week! We have been showcasing products from the Spring release that became available in February. Today’s card features the Year Thirteen set. THIRTEEN! These yearly sets are a collection of mini sets that are special anniversary sets. The Year Thirteen set is adorable and brings out the Asian in me!

The dim sum dumpling image is just too cute! I stamped three so I could use all the faces that are on this set and colored them simply with Copics. There are chopsticks and I just had to color those too. Now, I’m sure you’re wondering where that steamer basket came from. I made it using a Large Stitched Oval Stackables die and some tracing and fussy cutting.

Here is a image of how the steamer basket was made. It was die-cut in white and colored with Copic markers. Steamer baskets are traditionally made from bamboo, so I left imperfections in my coloring to show striations on the basket.

Steam Basket:  E42, E31, E35

For the background, I used Large Stitched Rectangles Stackables dies and die-cut a white panel as well as a panel from the What’s Sewing On? Petite Paper Pack. Before adhering, I stamped the sentiment using Peachy Keen ink and a steam trail using Manatee ink.
