I created a card for the Spring issue of Scrapbook and Cards Today and issue went live recently! You can view the digital issue HERE. I get to share details about it with you today! The task was to share a stamping secret. I don’t think it’s a big secret, but you know I do love to blend colors!

The Golden Days stamp set is a layering set. You can use one ink color for each layer. What I do to add interest is use one color to stamp the layer, then I used a finger dauber to add a darker color on the same layer at the bottom of the petals of that layer, free-handing if I have to. This just adds a lot of depth!

After I stamped the images, I die-cut the images with the Golden Days die set. Ready for my next tip? Do your stamped images look dull sometimes? They do get lighter as the ink dries. I find that one way to perk up that color and to make it more vibrant is to add some Micro Glaze on it! I do this with Distress Oxide Ink-blended panels sometimes – especially when I create galaxies.

For the background, I ink-blended some ink at a diagonal using the darkest color used on the flowers. After attaching my images with different depths of foam adhesive, I splattered the panel with white paint. To finish, I put together a sentiment using the Altenew Versatile Greetings die set.
