Hi friends!

The May 2023 My Favorite Things Release is here! I wish I had more time to create more with this amazing release for this post, but I barely had time to squeeze this card in last night. You’ll have to check out this fun release because there are some adorable sets and awesome dies I wish I had time to play with before this morning!

My card uses the Peaceful Birds set, designed by Stacey Yacula. I stamped and colored the images with Copic markers.

Birds: R000, R01, B00, B02, B05, R30, Y17
Birdhouse: E30, E31, E35, E37
Seed Stems: W0, E70, E71, E31, E35
Foliage/Greens: [YG06, YG09, G09], [G21, G24, G28]

I used the new Stitched Designer Octagon Frames to create a window by using the negative of the largest die. The background is ink-blended with Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Inks. I splattered it with some water to give it some texture before adhering the birdhouse and seed stems to the background.

Next, I adhered the foliage stems and birds so they can peek out over the frame a bit, for some added interest. I finished with an embossed sentiment.
