Hi friends!

I’m sharing an easy shadow frame card today that I learned from Jennifer McGuire using Lawn Fawn products. It creates some dimension, but can be folded flat for mailing.

Today’s card uses the Secret Garden Window dies and is paired with images from the You Autumn Know set. I have a video and hope you’ll enjoy watching!

The dimensional frame starts with a piece of cardstock that is 6 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 1/2″ and 1″ on each end. When “Z”-folded, the top is a standard A2-sized card front. I used the Secret Garden Window dies to die-cut a frame into that panel as well as a piece of patterned paper from the What’s Sewing On Petite Paper Pack.

I started by stamping and coloring the mice. Then, I colored the garden sprigs.

Mice:  E0000, E40, E41, E42, E43, R30
Yellows:  Y11, Y15
Blue:  B93
Purples:  V000, V01, V04
Pinks:  R81, R83, R85           
Greens:  [YG23, YG25], [YG06, YG09], [G21, G24]

I used a strip of acetate across the back of the open window to help support my “floating” images. Be sure to check out the video to see how it’s created and to see the dimension this creates without the bulk.
