Hi, friends!

I have another card video for you today! It was recently shared on the Simon Says Stamp Blog. The Lovely Layers Water Lily dies is beautiful and you know I love the Lovely Layers collection from Honey Bee Stamps!

Be sure to check out the video to see how this card is made! I ink-blended the water lilies with pinks and purples – I think it really adds dimension!

Water lilies are significant in meaning for my family/culture. It reminds me of the loss of my nephew last March when we were grieving. I haven’t colored water lilies since so while I was making this card, my thoughts went to him.

The flowers and foliage are ink-blended with Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks. I used a soft pink and purple for the flower base and a dark pink to intensify the tips of the petals. For the background, I ink-blended with Distress Oxide Inks. Colors are listed below in my supplies list.

I finish with a simple sentiment made from embossing a Mini Message and die-cutting it with a Mini Message Banner die.
