Hello!

I’m back to share more inspiration using the latest products from the Simon Says Stamp Just a Note release. Today’s card features a simple stencil and I’m sharing how I add lots of color and interest to it.

When I saw the large flower on the Summer Bouquet stencil, I saw a succulent, so that’s how I ink-blended it. I started with a muted green, then I masked off the corners to ink-blended some pink at the tips. Then I finished the rest of the stencil off with more simple ink-blending.

I wanted more depth, so I used some colored pencils. I used a dark red for the succulent tips, purple on the purple flower, and a green colored pencil on the foliage. Then, I ink-blended the left-hand side with some sage ink.

Next, I added some splatters to the panel with dark green paint. I also added the new Perfect Day Sequins in areas where little ink-blended spots are. To finish my card, I added a simple sentiment embossed over white cardstock using the new Plant Sentiments stamp set.
