Simon Says Stamp – Citrus Slice Background

Hello friends!

I have a fun citrus shaker card to share today! Do you remember my Citrus Slice card from last month’s release? That die coordinates with the new Citrus Slice Background die. I used the previous Citrus Slices die to layer over the top of the Citrus Slice Background die for additional color and texture.

To create my shaker card, I first die-cut the Citrus Slice Background with white cardstock. On a card base, I masked off the rows of the citrus slices to ink-blend diagonal rows of limes, lemons, grapefruit, and oranges. I filled the shaker opening with colorful confetti from Pretty Pink Posh and sealed them in with foam adhesive around the perimeter.

Next, I die-cut a bunch of Citrus Slices and colored them with Copic markers (RV32, Y38, Y13, YG06, YR31). Then, I finished by adhering them to the top of my shaker card, trimming off the excess overhang. I finished my card with a simple sentiment strip from the new Reverse Teacher Sentiments set.
