Simon Says Stamp – Pretty Petals

Hi there!

I’m back with more inspiration from the Simon Says Stamp Be Bold release. Today’s card uses the Pretty Petals layering set. This is a 6″ x 8″ set that features two stems and 3 different flowers so you can use a variety of colors to create a floral card.

My tip for layered images is to always die-cut first, then stamp. Using a Stamp and Stencil Mat will help hold the die-cuts in place in your stamp positioner while you line up the image for perfect placement. I knew I wanted to make three stems, so I die-cut the smaller stem twice. I chose to make all the flowers different colors.

For the background, I ink-blended pink ink over the Lattice Tile Stencil. I let it fade as I reached the outer corners of the panel. Then I attached the stems with 3D foam squares for dimension.

I finished with a sentiment from the Pretty Petals set and embellished the flower centers and some drops using Nuvo Glitter Drops in Gold Coast.
