Hi friends!
Today’s card is so fun! I made a Margarita Glass using the new die from the Celebrate release. This die coordinates perfectly with the stamped image from the Taco ‘Bout It set.

I stamped and colored the limes from the Taco ‘Bout It set to go with my Margarita Glass. I die-cut the Margarita Glass first with Matte Silver cardstock, then with white cardstock to ink-blend and in-lay the colorful pieces by ink-blending them. Once I pieced it all together, I adhered a lime wedge, then flooded the glass with Glossy Accents to make it shine.

To mimic the look of the salt/sugar rim, I added some chunky clear glitter. The wet Glossy Accents pulled some of the glitter into the center of the glass, but it’s ok! You can still see the rim.
For the background, I ink-smooshed pink, yellow and teal ink and then stenciled the Dash & Dot pattern over it with a pouncer. I finished by stamping the sentiment from the Taco ‘Bout It set and added some Starshine Embellishments.
I hope you enjoyed this project! Thanks so much for visiting!

I love the background you created! You said you “ink-smooshed” the ink pad. What does that mean? Thanks for your help! I’d love to try that technique.

I tap some ink onto a glass surface, spritzed it with water, then used a piece of acetate or cellophane to pick up that watered-down pigment and transfererd it to the cardstock. It creates an organic watercolor look. I show it in my latest YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erqEoGX01wM
