Hi there friends!
I’m excited to share today’s card with you! The Football Season set from the Simon Says Stamp Cheering for You release is so much fun and I was so excited to personalize it for my team!
Before coloring the stamped images, I added a few details myself (lines on the numbers and to add a strip of color on the sleeves). In order to add the KC Chiefs logo on the helmet, I had to do some stamp surgery. There is a star on the helmet in its place that I had to cut out to remove the star. I never do this, but I felt it needed to be done to get the star off the helmet. I found a KC Chiefs arrow logo on my computer and shrunk it down to the right size and placed my cardstock over the screen to trace the logo. I know…I was determined to do this! I think it ended up working out well!
Next, I colored with Copic markers.
Copics:
Reds: R24, R27, R29
Yellows: Y155, Y17
Browns: E13, E15, E17
Grays: W0, W2, W4
After coloring, I die-cut the images and worked on the background.
On a piece of watercolor paper, I did a watercolor wash of reds and browns using Distress Ink. Then I die-cut the panel with a Stitched Rectangle to mat the card panel against a Black A2 Pre-Scored Side-Fold Notecard. Caly, I love this card! We live in Bengal territory but my 11 yr old grandson goes to school every day decked out from head to toe in Patrick Mahomes Spirit Wear, including his backpack and lunchbox! I don’t think I’m computer savvy enough to attempt that helmet so I will change my plans and just show your really cool card to my grandson rather than attempt to make it!
