Hi friends!

Today’s card is extra special to me. My daughter has been doing ballet for 3 years and this year, she is performing for the first time in The Nutcracker. It’s a small role, but special nonetheless. When I saw The Nutcracker Mama Elephant set, I just knew I had to have it!

I stamped and colored the images with Copic markers.

Copics:
Reds: R32, R35, R37
Yellows/Golds:  Y00, Y15, YR23
Gold/Brown Hair:  E31, YR21, YR24
Dark Brown Hair: E33, E23, E25
Greens:  G21, G24, G28
Teals:  BG10, BG11
Blues:  B01, B04
Purples:  V01, V04
Pinks:  RV000, R81, R83, R85
Skin:  E0000, E00, E50, E11
Grays/Blacks:  C00, C0, C4, C6, C7
Blush:  R30, R22

I made my own platform box for this card because I wanted it to fit the length of the sentiment. Measurements are below:

-Back (pink):  4” x 4.25”
-Back Mat (ivory): 3.75” x 4”
-Front and inserts (1 pink, 2-3 ivory):  1” x 4.5”, scored at 1/4” on both ends.
-Sides (2 pink): 1.75” x 1.5” scored at 1/4” on one end.  Then cut from 1/4” scoreline to 1” height on opposite end.

*The 1/4″ scored areas are tabs for adhering together to form the platform.

The best thing about these pop up box cards is that they fold up and fit perfectly inside A2 envelopes, of course!
