To make today’s card, I started by die-cuting all the images with white cardstock using the Christmas Confections Die. Then, I added texture using the Christmas Confection Embossing Folder by lining up each die-cut into the embossing folder. I just eyeball it until I’m happy – it’s not a quick process, but it’s worth it since die-cutting first helps to get the best texture as opposed to embossing, then die-cutting.
To add color, I used the Christmas Confection Stencils. There are a few die-cuts that do not have stenciling so I carefully blended in over them to add color (pine springs or holly leaves) or used markers (berries). Once everything was colored, I used a sanding block to buff off color to reveal some white and added glitter to a few raised areas to give them sparkle.
Next, I used the Christmas Confections Sentiment Additions set to change the layout a bit from the Christmas Confection Embossing Folder, but kept it pretty similar for this 5″ x 7″ card.
