Hello! I’m stoping by to quickly share a card I made the other day. I’ve used this Happy Day stamp set by Concord & 9th quite a few times in the past few months but each time – it turns out different, in all good ways! In the past, I have embossed the image and watercolored, but I used Copic markers to color the image this time.
My friend, Missy loves GLITTER. Every time she asks me to make a card, she wants me to use glitter – so you’ll probably recognize the glitter paper. I’m also a huge fan of these stitched rectangle scallop frames from My Favorite Things.
The banner and sentiment is from the same stamp set – I love that you can customize the years. I propped the frame up using foam adhesive and turned card into a shaker. The pink in the background is subtle but it brings out the color of the cake as well.
I filled the shaker portion with lots of iridescent glitter, gold sequins, and some iridescent microbeads. I haven’t made a shaker in a while so this was fun for me! I’m working on a fairy card in a box for my next post. I did all the coloring for it and plan on having a supply list and details. I’ve shared a few of those cards in the past with very little instructions but I hope to share more next time. Stay tuned!
XOXO,
Oh, Caly, what a FUN shaker card! I absolutely love this cake and think your shaker part in the background. It’s brilliant, and I love the glitter border. I LOVE it, sweet Caly, and Missy is going to love it too! Hugs, sweet friend! xoxo
