Hi Everyone!
I’m here today to share some birthday cards using this wonderful Magical Unicorn stamp set by Pink Fresh Studio. Mystical creatures are taking over – mermaids and unicorns!
I had so much fun making these cards last night. I have quite a few birthdays to celebrate this week – including my daughter’s. She’s turning 2! I can’t even believe it! So I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to make a few cards using this stamp set. It comes with a die – but I didn’t realize it when I bought this stamp set. So I had to get creative and used a punch, a die, and even hand-cut the large pink flowers. The supplies I used will be linked below, but if you want to make it easier…buy the coordinating die! It was a lot more work than I needed!
I got the new Catherine Pooler Inks (Aquatini and Party Dress) and had to play with them! Luckily – I had some matching cardstock to use also. These cards were sooo much fun to make!
The photos don’t show the shimmer too well, but I put Wink of Stella clear shimmer ink all over the border die, on the unicorn ears, and above the unicorn’s lashes.
The horn is simply embossed with Wow Metallic Gold Sparkle embossing powder. I used foam tape to add dimension to the border as well as the flowers. I adhered the ears on at an angle so that they don’t lie flat – thought they looked fun curved up like that. I sponged the flowers with some of the same ink they were stamped in to give them some more color – or you can stamp on colored cardstock – but I like this sponged look as well. Better yet – you could do both!
