Good Morning, Friends!

I sharing another card for Hello Bluebird today using the Woodland Littles stamp set. I usually don’t make fall cards but this stamp set is just too cute!  I also decided to color these last week for the coloring challenge because I wanted to challenge myself to color using new colors and shades (I usually don’t color leaves anything but in shades of green and would typically color owls and squirrels brown).  I wanted all the woodland critters to be unique so I opted for a gray squirrel and tried to aim for the snow owl look.

This is the image I shared during my coloring challenge last Friday for my Coloring Challenge Week 1 Recap post (click on the link if you missed it and want to see what I colored last week).  I’ll be sharing what I colored this week tomorrow :).

Colors used:  YR30, YR24, YR27 (fox), YR94, YR09, R29 (orange and red leaves), G14, G05 (green leaves), E41, E50, E53, E31, E55, E13, E27 (pumpkin, tree stump, acorn, hedgehog), W1, W3 (squirrel), N0, N1, 0 (owl), R20 (blush)

I’ve been using a lot of the Distress Oxide inks lately, so I decided to use the original Distress Inks for this card (Wild Honey, Scattered Straw, Rusty Hinge) to create the background with water droplets.  For the frame, I used the Gallery Frame #1 dies and dry embossed it with a woodgrain texture.

I created this woodsy scene using all the images I colored and stamped a simple sentiment on top.  I’m going to share this card on the LiveLoveCards community challenge for June also – the theme is “bottom heavy” and I think this one applies. 🙂
