Pinkfresh Studio – Fleur 1

Hello there!

I’m so excited to share my first card for Pinkfresh Studio.  If you missed the announcement on Instagram – I’m now a card team designer for Pinkfresh Studio (PFS)!  Such an honor to work for such an amazing company!  I got my DT package earlier this week and had to play with a few items before I organized everything.  PFS has a monthly challenge and this month, it’s watercolor!  Check out the July Challenge details HERE or click on the banner below.0718-PFS-MonthlyChallenge

PFS also recently released a line of liquid watercolors and it’s amazing!  I thought I loved being able to mix dry watercolors with water to dilute, but the ease of liquid watercolors is so convenient – and you can still dilute to the lightness that you prefer.  The colors are fabulous!

PFS Watercolors

For this challenge, I stamped an image from the PFS Fleur 1 stamp set on watercolor paper.  I then loosely watercolored the images using various colors from the liquid watercolor line (Bubble Gum, Emerald City, Aquamarine, Sunshine, and Lavender).

For the background, I used smaller foliage stamps from the same set in a spray pattern around a piece of 4.25″ x 5.5″ cardstock using Catherine Pooler Sea Foam ink.  I had stamped on Neenah Cardstock, but took a chance and did a light watercolor wash over the entire panel to prevent peeling.

I die-cut the original watercolored image and adhered it to the card layer using dimensional foam tape.  After embossing the sentiment in white embossing powder over some black cardstock, I added that to the watercolored image in an area that didn’t cover up too many flowers to give this card as much pop of color as possible.

I took a chance with loose watercoloring – I’m used to being controlled and being a perfectionist with it so this was fun for me!  I hope you like this card.  Please join me Monday for the Pinkfresh Studio July Release!  Such AMAZING products that will surely WOW you!

XOXO,
