Happy World Cardmaking Day! Today is such a sweet celebration for cardmakers. To celebrate Pinkfresh Studio is introducing the very special Share Cheer stamp & die set. This is a special set because 100% of the net profits from this set will go to UNICEF. Pinkfresh Studio chose this organization because they help children and operate in more countries than any other humanitarian organization. UNICEF works in 190 countries and territories and in the world’s toughest places to reach the children and young people in greatest need. You can learn more about what they do HERE.

The second part of the Share Cheer campaign is a Holiday Card Drive benefiting The Holiday Project, which is local to Pinkfresh Studio Headquarters in Houston, TX. We would love for you to send a holiday themed card(s) to us, and we will personally deliver each card we receive to The Holiday Project! They need approximately 3,000 cards this holiday season, so let’s put our best foot forward together and make a dent in that number! Share your card drive projects with us through the link list at the bottom of the Pinkfresh Studio blog post, and then physically send them to:
Pinkfresh Studio
11261 Richmond Avenue, Suite #G108
Houston, TX 77082
The Card Drive link list will stay up until November 30th for those that want to participate (but the giveaway will end October 21st – details below).

I reflected on the stamped image for a while before I decided to jump in to create. The image embodies the wonder and magic of Christmas – it it comes down to YOU – the power is in everyone’s hands to create cheer and share it. I started by stamping the image using a Copic-friendly ink. As colored, I quickly realized that the palette I was going for was very primary.
Copic colors used: Y13, Y17, YG07, G07, R17, R29, E50, E30, E24, E35, B21, B23

Once I was done, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to die cut the image – but felt that it needed a bright background, so I die cut the image hoping to prop it back up with 3M foam tape later. The die cut negative is ink-blended with various Distress Oxide inks from light to dark using Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Faded Jeans. Then I splattered it with some water to give it some added interest – almost like a night sky.

Before adding the focal image, I added white gel pen highlights. I also embossed the word Believe at the top in white. Once I added the colored image over 3M foam tape, I went back in and added glossy accents to all the berries and lightbulbs on the image.

I hope you enjoyed this card and that you’ll consider supporting UNICEF through the purchase of this wonderful stamp set. I appreciate you stopping by today and I hope you’ll create something fun today!

I really like your primary palette. With all those little items in the stamp set, I think keeping down the number of colors helps everything stay in focus and keeps the card from becoming too cluttered. I also love that background; it’s just the right colors to complement your coloring. Thanks for sharing with us!
