Hi Friends!
Right at Home had a release last week and the owner, Nicole, was sweet enough to send me some product to play with! I made two cards to share with you because I felt that Snow Flurries Background stamp deserves it’s own card! It’s gorgeous! I also used it in my first card created with the Santa’s Helpers stamp set. Let’s talk about that one first!

Santa’s Helpers is a smaller stamp set – but it has enough images to build a scene as you can see on my card. I stamped and colored the images using Copic markers (R05, R29, B01, B24, BG13, BG57, Y02, Y17, G03, G09, G21, C4, C7, R20, E41, E42, E50, E34, E25). Then I used coordinating Santa’s Helpers dies to die-cut the images.

For the background, I ink-blended some Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon distress oxide ink. Then I stamped the Snow Flurries using Versamark ink over the ink-blended panel to create a snowy background. I die-cut a card front using a stitched rectangle die and die the same to a separate strip using a slope die to give the scenery more dimension.

I added my images, layering them and adding foam tape give the card more interest. The sentiment is an older stamp set called Magic of the Season and I embossed it right over the snowflakes using Versafine Onyx Black ink with clear embossing powder.

My second card is very simple – but I love the glow it created and how it turned out. I simply embossed the background stamp with platinum embossing powder on white paper, added the solid snowflake stamps also and embossed those also (sorry, the embossing powder distorted the negative space of these solid stamps so you can’t see the snowflake images inside them!).

After embossing, I ink-blended Cracked Pistachio and Tumbled Glass to create a light teal color, then I added Mermaid Lagoon around it giving it this glow and vignette look. For the sentiment (which is a part of this wonderful stamp set), I embossed it over a strip of vellum and laid it simply over the top. I can’t tell you how much I love this card (because I love these colors and have a slight weakness for snowflakes) – but it’s so simple, I could easily make 10 of them in different colors! Such a fun one to mass produce!

I really hope you enjoyed these cards! I appreciate you stopping by today. Have a fabulous week!
XOXO,
