Hello there!

I’m sharing a shaker card for Pretty Pink Posh today! It’s been a while since I used this Koala set, which was released last summer before I joined the design team. Just for fun – let’s bring that one back for a quick glimpse, yes?

EEP! I still love that card – but I gave it away and I’m just glad I have photos to remind me. No regrets! Anyway…those koalas. I love koalas so much that I stamped all of them and used them ALL on one card. I’m going to take it down a notch for today’s card…lol.

I colored two images from the Koala Friends stamp set for today’s card and die-cut the images before working on the skaker and other card elements. Copic colors used: E30, E31, E34, YG25, YG67, R00, W00, W1, W3.

First, I ink-blended Cracked Pistachio and Tumbled glass on the cardbase where I new I would be die-cutting the shaker window. I spritzed it with water, soaked up the excess water and set it aside to chill out while I ink-blended the top card layer with Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar. I did a soft fade into white towards the bottom of the card panel. I also spritzed this with water – but also added white paint splatters as well. When that was dry, I used the Scallop Circle die to cut out my shaker window.

I adhered acetate to the window, then cut a second scallop frame bc I wanted it to be white and in-layed it over the acetate along with the main Koala image. Then I adhered the single koala to the card panel – letting him hang from the bottom of the tree branch.

I stamped my sentiment before adhering foam tape to the back of the panel, added Whimsical Forest Sequin Mix, and adhered my cardfront to my cardbase to create my shaker and finish my card.
