Hi, Friends!!!

I cannot tell you how excited I am today! I’m a guest on the Lawn Fawn Blog! What an amazing honor it is…TRULY! I have loved Lawn Fawn since I started crafting and since becoming so busy with design teams, I have made little time to play. When Kelly Marie (one of the owners of Lawn Fawn) asked me to guest design today – I wasn’t crazy enough to say no! To be honest, the past couple of weeks have really been really rough for me creatively.

I know my blog posts are still appearing, but it’s all work I’ve done in advance. I have found myself procrastinating and it’s very unlike me. Creating the cards for the guest post today really rejuvenated me! I’m sharing one of 2 cards today. I felt the second card needs its own post here tomorrow!

Today’s card features the Oh Gnome! stamp set and the Mushroom House dies! GAH….I can’t even. Seriously. The cutest. Those gnomes…the mushroom house…all of it! It’s a longer card because there’s a lot of cuteness to fit on one card! The card dimension is 4″ x 8.5″. These fit well into size #10 envelopes. I recently discovered beautiful #10 envelopes from Paper Source when they had a paper sale!

I colored these images and posted them for the 30 day coloring challenge. After coloring, I die-cut the images using the coordinating Oh Gnome! dies.

I die-cut the Mushroom House from various cardstock colors and ink-blended them with a darker shade of the same color to add depth to the different elements. I did the same for the grass using the Simple Grassy Hillsides dies.

For the background, I ink-blended Cracked Pistachio and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks. I lightly misted it with some water before embossing the sentiment using white embossing powder.

When all the different elements were prepared and colored, I began building my scene (my favorite part!). I had sooo much fun doing this. I folded the butterflies in half to give them a little bit of dimension, adhering only the center of them down. For a final touch, I added glossy accents to the mushroom dots on the images and house as well as the windows and lanterns.
