Hello and welcome back for my second Lawn Fawn card as a guest designer! I’m still just as excited as I was yesterday – ha!
Today’s card features the new Be Hap-Pea set as well as the new ever-so-clever Magic Picture Changer interactive die! The magic picture changer die helps an image change from one to another with the use of a slider mechanism. I started by stamping the pea closed with two peas in the pod and a little pea calling out in excitement. This is the image that sits stationary “before” image, if you will. The second image is the “after” – so I stamped the pea pod open this time, with two peas and one jumping out.
I masked off the images and ink-blended the background using Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink. Then using the Magic Slider Add-On, I created a blue top panel for the picture changer. It’s ink-blended with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and spritzed with water.
I die-cut the leaves that I colored and the stamped words and swirls from the Be Hap-Pea dies to decorate the top panel. For the background, I decided to use a solid pea stamp from the Be Hap-Pea stamp set and did some first, second, and third-generation stamping (stamping “off” half the stamp) for some added interest in some areas using Lawn Fawn Mowed Lawn ink.
This die is just sooo fun and I can’t wait to use it again using other stamps! Thank you, Kelly for asking me to guest design on the Lawn Fawn Blog! I had a great time creating these cards!
