Thanks for joining me today for another Hero Arts card. I’m sharing a card today using the new Color Layering Iris stamp set.
The layers are so detailed on this stamp set – it looks really realistic. I have to admit – I had some trouble with the color combination. I think the goal is to choose a really soft base color and stamp that first – the adding additional layers with darker colors.
The bottom layer is stamped with Soft Pink Ink. The more detailed layer is stamped with Grape Juice Ink, then the center, with Lemon Yellow Ink. For the leaves, I used Green Hills and Forever Green Ink. For the background, I ink-blended a soft layer of Soft Pool Ink.
I arranged my flowers over the ink-blended area and embossed the sentiment on a black banner that I cut and matted the entire card panel over new Hero Hues Lavender cardstock.
