It’s been a super busy week! I’m sorry for all the posts but I’m so glad you’ve stopped by today! The new Simon Says Stamp Fresh Blooms release is here! I’m sharing a labor of love using the Blossoming…I have zero experience watercoloring tiny spaces so this image definitely challenged me, which is by no means a bad thing! I hope you like it!
It’s sooo very detailed! I used a no-line coloring ink and it’s sooo difficult to see what I was painting but I tackled it by going very slow, and referencing the stamp a lot. I actually started by painting the tree trunk and limbs first. Seemed most obvious to me.
Then all the leaves…
Then using Quinacridone Magenta, I colored the smaller tulip-like flowers; Quinacridone Rose for the larger blossoms.
I stamped the sentiment towards the bottom there and matted the watercolored panel over cardstock in a matching color.
It’s difficulte to see in the image, but I also did a light wash of blue in the background and added a few Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter drops.

This stamp is so detailed and so beautiful, your watercoloring on it is nothing short of spectacular! I can’t believe how well you kept the details intact using watercolors. This card belongs in a frame on the wall for display only lol, great job!!
