Hello again!

I’m back today to blog another simple sample card I created for Hero Arts for Creativation! Between assignments, I’ve been trying to blog the 8 cards that I created and this is my 6th! It uses one butterfly die as the focus and I hop you’ll find it straight forward and easy to create!

To create the color on the butterfly, I ink-blended the pink, purple, and blue inks on some cardstock – then die cut the image. I find this a lot easier than trying to ink blend after die-cutting. The Hero Arts Monarch Butterfly is beautifully intricate and I love all the veins in it. I then spritzed it with some iridescent spray.

Using the same die, I cut another butterfly from the card front – but off-set it to cut off the paper. I added a layer of velum underneath this layer where the opening of the butterfly is to mute the bright purple mat underneath.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment using a stamp from the New Day Butterflies stamp set and adorned the card with some sequins from the Ombre Purple Sequin Mix from Hero Arts.
