Welcome to Altenew’s latest blog hop! Altenew has an amazing release and I’m sharing two cards made using the new Weekend Doodles and Beloved Daisy sets. Let’s dive right in!
My first card is made using the Weekend Doodles stamp set. I used a 2 smaller foliage stamps and created a vine before coloring it with Copic Markers.
After coloring the leaves, I also went around the image with a gray Copic marker to give the image some dimension (it looks that way in real life, anyway).
The sentiment is stamped and embossed in white over black cardstock and to finish, I added some sparkle drops.
My second card uses the Beloved Daisy stamp and die set. I pictured a daisy garden in my mind and had to create a slimline card to stamp lots of images. I find I’ve been gravitating towards slimline cards a lot for Altenew florals. This card measures 4.25″ x 8.25″.
Usually, I stamp the sentiment last, but since I wanted the flowers to surround the sentiment, I stamped the sentiment first. I stamped many of the flowers directly on the card panel and more to cut out for dimension. Altenew inks make it so easy for layered stamping to create the pink and teal flowers on my card.
Teal Flowers: Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake, Lagoon
Pink Flowers: Blush, Coral Bliss, Coral Berry
Foliage: Forest Glades, Evergreen
Flower centers: Citrus Burst, Maple Yellow, Honey Drizzle, Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze
I die-cut the extra flowers, stems and leaves and adhered them to the card in different places with foam adhesive for extra dimension.
