Hello again!
I’m back to share this month’s Large Die Kit of the Month from Spellbinders. It’s such a fun one – building a birthday cake!
I decided to build my birthday cake with sparkling white glitter cardstock with a hint of pink behind the die-cut patterns.
I then die-cut the flowers with pink and purple cardstock and leaves from green cardstock and adhered them to the bottom tier of the cake. There are lots of number and accessory dies for the cake topper – but I decided to do two hearts and used glossy accents to give them a bit of shine and extra interest.
The background is created with a watercolor wash using a Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker in Turquoise Green (#042). The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Simply Sentiments stamp set – which I embossed on white cardstock using gold embossing powder.
