Hi, Friends!
I’m so excited for this post. Not only do I get to design something for The Stamp Market, but I get to do a mini Instagram Hop with two of my favorite crafty friends! Not only is it fun, but I love that Amy from The Stamp Market reached out to each of us individually to ask us to do this (without knowing who the others were)! Jess and Emily are two of my best crafty friends – I’m so grateful and lucky to have formed such wonderful friendships with them and I’m all-around excited to do this with them!

Amy dubbed us the 3 girls queens of floral/watercolor – LOL… I’m not sure about that, but we sure love florals AND watercolor and do our best. I hope we can bring her beautiful new Some Kind of Wonderful stamp set justice! It’s BEAUTIFUL…not kidding. Be sure to visit each of our blogs for your chance to win this stamp set!

For today’s card – I really wanted to do something I’ve never done before. I know…I kind of went a little nuts and probably spent way too much time on this – but I love how it turned out and I hope you’ll love it too! I started by stamping the image with a light ink on white cardstock so that I could do some no-line Copic coloring.

Y02, E31, RV00, RV11, R85, G21, G24
After coloring with the Copic markers, I highlighted each flower petal and leaf petal with colored pencils. Sometimes, Copic markers don’t get the details like colored pencils can and I definitely wanted details to pop on this card.

585 Perylene Brown, 069 Burnt Sienna, 360 Purplish Red, 225 Moss Green, 030 Orange
I did go back and forth between colored pencils and Copics to achieve the look I was after. I was worried this might destroy my Copic nibs…but they seem to be unharmed. As you can see…when I was done coloring…I FUSSY CUT the ENTIRE image – like I had all day! HA! Good news is, Amy decided after working with this image that dies are needed…so they are coming!! I even cut in between the foliage with a craft knife…maybe a bit TOO much? NAW…I think it was worth it!

On a piece of light kraft cardstock, I embossed the sentiment from this stamp set in white – and added a few watermark foliage images in the background before adhering the colored image on top using foam adhesive for dimension. It casts a subtle natural shadow and I love the height. Then I splattered the whole thing with white acrylic paint. CRINGE…I just never know if the splatters will be as exactly as I like them…but it works out if you love messy imperfections! There was no turning back for me – I had spent way too long on this card at this point to NOT be ok with it! To finish the card, I added some iridescent sequins. This is one of my favorite cards of all time! I’m so glad I tried no-line Copic coloring with colored pencil accents! I hope you enjoyed it!

Oh my goodness this is so pretty. I have to bow to your fussy cutting skills. I’m not very good at it. I love the way you colored mixing copics and pencils. That flower turned out gorgeous. I really love this stamp set. TFS.

Hoping to see ‘a stamp 3 ways’ with you talented ladies again using more floral beauties in the future! Like a regular kind of gig:))
Your fear of the splatter is totally understood! It seems that at least one big BLOP! ends up where it’s least needed. Your card turned out great:)) I love the subtle gray stamping for added interest.and the detatils on the yellow looks fabulous!!
