I’m sharing another project today for Spellbinders using this month’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month. Did you know that you can subscribe and get the kit monthly at a wonderful price point? You get a roll of foil and new Glimmer Hot Foil Plates, often accompanying coordinating dies, each month and can cancel your subscription at anytime. This month’s foil color is Pink and the Radiant Flower set (includes flowers, stem, foliage, and coordinating dies).

I used colored cardstock to foil my images today – light pink for the flowers, light green for the stem/leaves, and yellow for the flower’s centers. The flowers themselves are foiled with the Pink foil that comes with this month’s kit. I foiled the stem and leaves with Virdian Green foil and flower’s centers with Polished Brass foil.

After foiling, to give the flowers and leaves some depth, I added ink by blending Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Ink to them. It does cloud up the foil, but you just need to wipe the excess ink away with a piece of cloth or paper towel.

To create the background, I ink-blended Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink, concentrating at the bottom and fading upward to the natural white cardstock. I sprayed some water and splattered the panel with Peacock Feathers ink to add texture before stamping the sentiment. To finish off the card, I added some jewels.

I really love this month’s kit! It makes for such a quick card for any occasion! I hope you feel inspired by my project and will consider trying foiled projects if you haven’t tried yet!
