Welcome to another My Monthly Hero Release Blog Hop! We’ve been counting down and today, we’re sharing more inspiration with a blog hop! I hope you’ll find lots of ideas for this month’s kit!

It’s all about the outdoors this month and the kit comes with plenty of backgrounds to create a scene on a pond or lakefront. There are tree lines, mountains, docks and so many fun stamps to create your scene. For today’s card, I did a lake view with a fisherman and his dog. To create my scene, I first stamped the tree line in Antigua ink. Then I stamped the darker green with Emerald Green ink. I then used a coordinating die to cut this tree line and set it aside to work on my background.

The background is ink-blended with the tree line being the starting point using Soft Pink ink, Soft Lilac, and Soft Purple (lightest in the center; darkest towards the outer edges. When I was done ink-blending, I decided to add a tree line reflection and then a mountain background using Charcoal Ink. The second layer of the mountains is stamped with Pigment White Unicorn ink.

To fill in the background, I stamped the ducks, fisherman’s boat, birds and foliage in black ink to create the silhouettes. The bullrush plants are stamped behind the grass in Charcoal for the illusion of depth. The sentiment is stamped and embossed with white embossing powder.
