Hi Friends!

We’re celebrating Spellbinder’s Decorative Glimmer Hot Foil Collection today with a blog hop to help introduce people to these wonderful glimmer hot foil plates! I’ve created two projects using the Circle Patterns Glimmer Hot Foil plates as well as the Hello Glimmer Hot Foil plates. The flowers I used on both cards might be familiar to you – they’re from the June 2019 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month.

Let’s start with the Hello plate – it’s beautifully flourished! So all I did for this one was foil it with pink foil over white cardstock.

To give it a pop of color, I added the flowers from June’s Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month. I foiled the flowers using pink foil over light pink cardstock and the leaves with green foil over light green cardstock. Distress Oxide ink colors used: Lucky Clover, Picked Raspberries, Festive Berries.

To add depth to my images, I ink-blended some ink in the center of the flowers and on the bottom half of the leaves.

I ink-blended the background of a blank card panel using a light hand with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. A few pink jewels finishes this card off nicely after adhering everything to the card panel using foam adhesive.

My second card uses the Circle Patterns plates. Wreaths can be so classy for cards so I was excited to make a simple one using this glimmer hot foil plate.

I created the floral images and leaves exactly the same as above. This time, I foiled the Circle Pattern on light kraft cardstock using gold foil.

After adhering the flowers to the bottom right corner of the circle wreath, I splattered the entire panel using watered-down white acrylic paint for some extra interest.

To complete my card, I added the sentiment, stamped simply in black ink and a few pink jewels to give it a final finish.
