Hello, Friends!!!

This post is going to be a little different today!  Altenew has a special Decal Release!  That’s right – if you love Altenew florals and wish you could paint them on your walls, wish no more – many of their beautiful flowers and designs are now available in decal form for your walls (or anything you want to stick them to, really!)

I’ve got two projects to share with you today. If you are a new visitor to my blog, I just want to quickly share that I just recently moved (about 2 months ago) into a new home – so I’ve got lot of bare walls to decorate.  So this opportunity to showcase Altenew’s new decals couldn’t have come at a better time!  The decals come in HUGE rolls…I mean…HUGE.  We’ll talk about the full details at the end of the post.  Let’s talk about the projects I have to share with you!

I’m going to start with the Peonies in Blossom A Decal Set that I decided to use over my entry way in my craftroom.

I started buy roughly cutting around each image.  Then I laid them all out on the floor just below my door way to see how much room it would take up.  Let me just say at this point…that designing/positioning your decals is a lot like designing/positioning stamped and colored images on a card.  The only difference is the size of the canvas!

I worked for either side first, then added the large peony in the center.  The goal is to apply the image you want in the front, last.  Once I was done with all the larger images, I completed it by adding all the little berries to fill in the open spaces around the foliage and flowers.  Isn’t it pretty?!

I’m pretty excited about the next one!  I’m working with the Amour Decal Set – Small.  At first I couldn’t decide where I wanted it but I only have one thing in my entire house that is bright and colorful – this photo of my daughter when she turned 1.  So I decided to give the frame a frame!

Instead of placing it in a large cluster, I broke the images up into 2 smaller clusters and arranged them in opposite corners around the photo. 

It really draws the eye, doesn’t it?  I love that it has the same vibrant colors as the photo and adds a special look to my daughter’s room.  Note:  There are two sizes to this decal set (a small and a medium) – this is the medium sized set and it comes with a few more flowers and foliage.
