Hello Friends!

Have you seen this month’s Spellbinders kits?  I’m playing with the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month and the Large Die of the Month today.  The Glimmer Hot Foil Kit creates beautiful flags in your foil color choice.  This month’s kit comes with the Prism foil so that’s what I’m using today.  And the Large Die of the Month creates a clipboard with accessories – so much fun!

The projects I made today can go together or be separated.  Since school is starting very soon, I’ve made a card appropriate for a student and a teacher.

The Notepaper Background stamp by Taylored Expressions is something I’ve been eyeing for a while so I was excited to be able to use it for today’s cards.  I stamped them on white cardstock using blue ink, then re-traced the vertical lines with red ink to mimic real notebook paper. 

I die-cut all the different elements with various cardstocks to use the Large Die of the Month.  I also used the smaller rectangle die to cut one of my notebook paper panels to fit the clipboard card. 

I then created a second A2 size card using the same notepaper background and kraft colred cardbase.  This time, I stamped the sentiment using the Sugar Peas Designs Teacher stamp set. 

I then foiled my glimmer hot foil plates using the Prism foil and used one on each of my cards.  I added the Hello flag to my teacher card and “clipped” the Hooray banner/pennant to my clipboard for the student card to commence school starting.
