The Hero Arts Winter Catalog Products are now live in the Hero Arts store. I created today’s card for catalog and thought I would share it for the blog hop today to kick things off. The Paper Layering Poinsettia dies create such detailed 3D poinsettias!
I die-cut my poinsettia using Cherry cardstock, the berries using Canary cardstock, and the petals using Meadow cardstock. To give them additional depth and color, I ink-blended each petal with a darker shade of ink (Mulled Wine Hybrid Ink for the poinsettia, Pine Hybrid Ink for the leaves).
Once everything was ink-blended, I added white gel highlights and adhered the layers of the poinsettia together. The centers were added on top of that, then the leaves underneath.
I ink-blended a blank white panel with Splash Reactive Ink and arranged my flowers on top, adding dimension to the center berries with drops of Crystal Clear Lacquer and in other areas of the card. Finally, I stamped the sentiment using the Color Layering Nordic Trees stamp set and embossed it in white over black cardstock.

Gorgeous card Caly! Initially, I don’t know that I would have purchased this stamp set, but after seeing how beautifully it goes together, and how realistic it looks, it is now a must have at the top of my list! Thanks for helping me see it in a whole new light!
