I’m sharing a shaker card today that quite frankly…scares me. LOL…not because it’s scary…but because it’s not my usual style. It’s bold and dark – and perhaps it should be, because it’s a Halloween card!
That being said, I definitely had fun making it! I’m really not a Halloween person and don’t do a lot of Halloween decorating, but this card is cute and very appropriate for Halloween.
I stamped and colored the word Boo with Copic markers: B000, W1, W3, C4, C7, E35, V04, Y00, Y02, Y08, Y38, YR16, R05. After coloring, I prepared my purple panel. I started with a piece of purple cardstock and ink-blended Wilted Violet and Black Soot around the edges using the Spider Web Stencil.
To create my shaker, I placed the ink-blended panel in my MISTI and lined it up so I knew exactly where it should go, then die cut it. I added acetate to the back, in-lay my word negatives, filled it with the Fall Confetti stars, then sealed it up. Last but not least, I stamped two spiders and embossed my sentiment.
