For today’s project, I watercolored the images using Daniel Smith Watercolors using only three colors (and a third for the background). I used Permanent Violet for the flowers, Neutral Tint for the flower centers, and Undersea Green for the leaves.

To do no-line watercoloring, I stamped my images with Antique Linen Distress Ink. After watercoloring my images, I splattered white and black splatters on them. I allowed the panel to air dry overnight before fussy cutting (the dies will be released at a later time).

After fussy cutting, I used another watercolor panel to do a light wash of color using Rich Green Gold and Undersea Green. I used a towel to remove some color and once dry, I splattered it again with white and black ink.

I trimmed my panel and then applied a strip of adhesive in the bottom third to help me loop some gold thread before applying my watercolored images using foam adhesive. I let my images hang off the sides and then finished off my card with some iridescent sequins. The sentiment is from the Faceted Stars stamp set – embossed over black cardstock and adhered using foam adhesive.
