It’s time for a new challenge with Lawn Fawnatics! The current theme centers around the following inspiration board. You can follow the halloween theme, the colors below, or both!

I’m not great with color challenges – but I definitely enjoyed creating a halloween scene for this challenge! My card today is a 5″x7″ card. The house fits great on an A2-sized card, but I couldn’t fit all my costume party buddies so I decided to make the card a little bit bigger.

To start, I stamped and colored my images from the Costume Party stamp set using Copic markers. After coloring, I die-cut my images and added white gel highlights to the images. I set my images aside and began constructing my halloween house using the Build-A-House die and the Halloween Add-On. I used Lawn Fawn cardstock (Black Licorice, Storm Cloud, Narwhal, Paper Bag, Sticky Note) and ink-blended with Distress Oxide Inks (Wild Honey, Black Soot).

Copic Colors Used:
Blush:  R20
Yellows:  Y00, Y17
Greens:  YG06, YG09
Purples:  BV000, BV04, BV08
Reds:  R05, R29
Browns:  E41, E30, E31, E35, E25
Oranges:  Y35, YR04, YR18
Grays:  C0, C3, C6, C8

To create the moon, I ink-blended a panel with Wild Honey and Mustard Seed and then die-cut the moon using the Large Stitched Circle Stackables die. I used the Grassy Border to cut the grass in black and then finished by ink-blending my background with Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Inks.

Before adhering my images to create the scene, I embossed the sentiment. The images are then layered to create my scene – some adhered directly to the card and others, with foam adhesive for dimension. After attaching all the images, I trimmed my panel to mat a 5″x7″ card base.
