The Stamp Market – Blooms & Berries

Hello, Friends!

I’m doing another mini Instagram hop for The Stamp Market today featuring the new Blooms & Berries set. Jessica Frost-Ballas, Emily Midgett, and I are doing 1 stamp, 3 ways – be sure to check them out on Instagram! I’m watercoloring mine today using Daniel Smith Watercolors.

The stamp set is a 5×6 stamp set – so the bouquet is oversized. I decided to stamp it in one corner and stamped it upside down to have it “hanging,” if you will, from the upper left hand corner using for no-line watercoloring.

My apologies, I didn’t write the paint colors down this time. I did use 4 different colors for the different types of foliage and used 3 other colors for the berries and flowers. The stamp set is more sketchy, so I somewhat traced the lines on the larger flowers with paint and used a damp brush to drag the colors to paint with.

After painting, I splattered my panel with white, green, and red paint. While my panel dried, I embossed the sentiment from the Holiday Greetings set in white over black cardstock. I added foam adhesive to it for extra dimension and added gathered gold thread to give the panel more interest. After attaching it to my painted panel, I finished by adding some Clear Droplets in various areas, then slightly matted the entire panel over kraft cardstock.
