This month’s Spellbinder’s kits are fall-themed and I love that they coordinate. I’ve made cards using the Large Die of the Month as well as the Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month and I hope you’ll like them!

I LOVE these pumpkins and have to be honest – I’m not good with wreaths (at least I don’t think I am) and fall-themed cards, but the foiling and beautiful die-cuts make it easy for me to work with. Let’s start with the Glimmer Foil kit!

I foiled all the images and sentiment over Bristol Smooth cardstock to color with watercolor brush markers. The foil that comes with this month’s kit is Copper and it’s beautiful! I used Arteza, but Zigs would work just as great! I’ve mentioned this before but in case you missed it – I like the colors of the Arteza markers better because they’re not too vibrant like the Zigs can be. The brushes of the Zigs are better quality, but otherwise, no complaints with the Arteza markers.

The background on my card is ink-blended with Tea Dye and Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide Inks. After adhering my images, I splattered the panel with white and black acrylic paint. The last thing I did was adhere the sentiment. Isn’t the foil on that pretty?!

My second card uses the Large Die Kit of The Month. There are lots of foliage to decorate the pumpkin. I die-cut a few as well as flowers and berries to decorate the the foliage.

After die-cutting all the pieces using various colors of cardstock, I ink-blended with a coordinating color to add shading to the different elements. Once I adhered the images in place over some kraft cardstock, I added some Golden Sunset Nuvo Glitter Drops at the centers of the flowers, and some White Nuvo Jewel Drops on the berries and random places on the card. Once that is dry, I added glossy accents over the berries for some additional interest. The entire panel is then splattered with white acrylic paint. The sentiment is from the kit and I die-cut it twice, lightly ink-blending with some orange for an ombre look from the bottom.
