Hi, Friends!
The wonderful collaborations between Hero Arts and other great companies in the industry continue as we celebrate Hero Arts’ 45th Anniversary.

The teams are sharing projects using the new Bloom & Grow stamp set – it’s a large floral set that is fun to color for those who like a lot of space to work with.

Since the image is so big, I decided to go with a larger canvas for my card today. The finished card size (not including the foliage overhang), is 5″x7″. I started by stamping my images with a light ink to no-line watercolor.

I was traveling when I watercolored this over the weekend and unfortunately, did not write the color names down. But I only used two so you can definitely create a lot of depth and dimension with one color depending on how dark you start and how much you blend. After coloring, I fussy cut my images – which is easy to do because the images are so large.

The background is a light gray/brown cardstock that I ink-blended with Taffy and Sea Salt Reactive Ink. The flower is adhered with foam adhesive and I added the leaves before adhering it over the ink-blended panel. Then I stamped my sentiment, covered it with some scrap cardstock and splattered the panel with white ink. To complete my card, I added some clear, opaque and iridescent sequins from the Icicle and Winter mixes.
