Hi, Friends!
Welcome to the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Blog Hop! The theme this month is “One World – A kit about inclusion and diversity, and honoring and taking care of our amazing planet.” I love this message!

I created a galaxy spinner card for the Countdown post on the Hero Arts Blog. If you missed it, you can check it out here!

I decided to use all the little images to create a repeated pattern and background. To do this, I selected the stamps I wanted to use and arranged them on a 2.5″ acrylic block. Then I stamped with a black pigment ink and repeated the stamping, turning my acrylic block as I went to change up the pattern a bit. After stamping, I added clear embossing powder and embossed my panel.

After embossing, I colored my images with Copic markers – being careful not to scrub over the embossed lines too much as I’ve been told this may ruin my Copic nibs (I personally have not noticed it being an issue).
Copics:
Grays: C1, C2, C4
Pinks: RV11, R85, RV52, RV55
Greens: G14, G19
Blues: BG01, BG05
Purples: BV01, BV04, BV08
Yellows: Y15, YR16

After I was done coloring, I added interest to my panel by outlining all of the images with the C1 marker. I also added some dot detailing with the Copic C2 and C4 markers. My sentiment is embossed in white over black cardstock and matted with a white cardstock panel. The sentiment is added to the patterned background I created with foam adhesive for extra dimension. This creates a sweet and simple card for any occasion depending on the sentiment and stamps that you use!

Fabulous. I tend to overlook the small stamps but that background turned out pretty and makes one take notice that even they can make a stunning project.
