My Favorite Things – 4 Days Until the New Release

Hi, Friends!

Welcome back for Day 4 of the Release Countdown! Today, I’m sharing a card made using the new Smile Maker set! I don’t know about you – but pastel rainbows make me happy (personal preference of course – you’re welcome to use any colors you like if you you’re inspired to create one like I’m doing today – it’s a fun and easy way to stretch your large word stamps!

Before stamping, I roughly measured that I could get 4 words stamped onto an A2 card-sized panel. So I chose 4 colors of MFT dye ink (Tickled Pink, Lemon Chiffon, Sno Cone, Grapesicle) and started inking from the bottom up.

So I started with purple and before stamping, I used a finger dauber to remove ink from the top of the word where I wanted to blue to be. Then I repeated this with the blue and green (stamping first the bottom half and removing ink if I needed to) so that I could stamp a second time with a second color for the top half. I let some of the colors overlap to organically blend it’s own colors (like the orange and green).

Once I got to the top, I was done – so I framed my panel with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle die. Then I used a sentiment from the same Smile Maker stamp set and embossed it over black cardstock. I trimmed the sentiment strip into three so that I could space them evenly on my card panel between each Smile word. This draws the eye a bit it gives it some nice contrast. I hope you like it! It was a really fun and easy card to make!

Be sure to come back tomorrow for more countdown to release inspiration! The release will be available Tuesday, December 10th at 10am EDT!

thanks so much for stopping by today!
