My Favorite Things – 3 Days Until the New Release

Today, I’m sharing a shaker card made using a new Pure Innocence set called You’re My Person. I love this set simply for it’s name ;). Everyone needs a person – whether it be your significant other or friend. These sweet little friend make for a youthful card and I’m sure my daughter would love it! She’s 3 and tells me every other day that she wants to go to school to make friends (then other days, she wants to stay at home with Mommy forever…).

I started by stamping and coloring my images with Copic markers.

Grays: C0, C2, C5
Teals: BG10, BG11, BG13
Blues: B93, B95, B97, B99
Pinks/Purples: RV51, RV55, RV63, RV66, R00, R20
Skin: E00, E30, E51, E04
Browns: E43, E57, E59
Yellows: Y00, Y17

I die-cut the Big Hugs Circle Frame four times to stack them. Before stacking the top layer, I colored them with Copic markers that i used to color the little girls in a rainbow pattern. Then I die-cut a 2″ circle on my Grout Gray cardstock for the shaker window as well as my stitched rectangle border. Next, I splattered white ink over the panel for some interest before adhering my shaker pouch, circle frame and card panel together.

Before adhering the shaker window panel over my card base, I had to give my window some color – so I ink-blended it with some Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink and filled my shaker with some of my favorite confetti and jewel mix. I sealed my shaker card panel over the confetti/jewel mix and then adhered my girls over the panel, overlapping the shaker window just a tad with foam adhesive.
