My Favorite Things – 2 Days Until The New Release

Welcome back for another MFT countdown post! I’ve got two cards to share with you today! Who loves pandas and zebras?! While the images are stamped in black and white, you can can add shading with grays and can definitely add color to your card with the background and surrounding elements.

I stamped my images from the Zippy Zebras set and added shading with Copics. I had to use an image with and accessory to throw in some color too!

Copics:
Grays: C0, C2, C5, C8
Reds: R01, R32, R35, R37

My background is ink-blended with Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers. I splattered the panel with some water for added interest and watered down some Peacock Feathers ink to splatter on the panel too.

I die-cut the word smile from the Big Smile Die-namics 4 times to layer for depth. I use a negative to in-lay my words to adhere for accurate positioning. To adhere my images, I used foam adhesive to raise them to the height of the smile word. Then I embossed my sentiment and added it with foam adhesive also.

My second card features the Panda Pals set. As I did above, I stamped my images with black ink and added some shading using gray Copic markers.

My background is ink-blended with Twisted Citron, Bundled Sage, and Pine Needles. I blended light to dark from the top, and then sprayed the panel with water. Like above, I also watered down the darkest color and splattered the entire panel for interest.

I used some of the accessory images to stamp across my panel with coordinating ink in the areas that I ink-blended with. To finish my card, I adhered my images and embossed sentiment strip with foam adhesive.
