My Favorite Things – Wednesday Sketch Challenge #467 – Bitty Bears

Hi, Friends!

It’s Wednesday and there’s another Sketch Challenge going on on the MFT Blog. If you have the chance, we’d love it if you would play along – you’ve got a chance to win $50 to the MFT Boutique!

This week’s sketch is a simple one – so I chose the Bitty Bears set since it has plenty of images about the same size. I chose 4 to color with Copic makers.

Copics used:
Hearts:  R20, R32, R35
Bears:  E21, E23, E25
Cupcake Base:  BG11, BG13
Cupcake IcingV01, V04,
Honey:  Y11, YR15
Honey Jar:  YR23, YR24, YR27

My square element is a 4.25″x4.25″ piece of paper cut from the Watercolor Wash Paper Pack. On the back side, I drew lines both ways going down the center to mark the 4 squares, then used it as a guide to cut my 4 circles using the Inside Out Stitched Circle Die-namics.

On a blank white panel, I also drew the 4 quadrants so that I could mask them off to ink-blend the different colors using Distress Oxide Inks (Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Salty Ocean, and Mowed Lawn). After ink-blending, I sprayed the panel with some water to create texture and interest.

To finish my card, I added foam adhesive under the Watercolor Wash paper to adhere over the ink-blended panel. Then I attached my Bitty Bears in the center of each circle. The sentiment is embossed in white over black cardstock and adhered to the center with more foam adhesive for added dimension.

A simple card with a lot of bold color. I hope you enjoyed this! Thanks for stopping by today!
