Hi, Friends!
Welcome to this month’s My Monthly Hero Blog Hop! Today, I’m featuring the January Word Fancy Die as well as the Aqua Glimmer Metallic Ink (included in the Main Kit). The ink/paint is thick and can be watered down to paint with, but I decided to ink-smoosh for a fun background.

I placed some ink on my glass mat, then added water to mix. Then I used my Bristol Smooth cardstock to smoosh over the ink, drying with my heat tool after each smoosh. I did this 4-5 times. The panel was a little warped after all the smooshing and heating – to fix this, I ran my panel through a laminator. Have you ever done that? I thought it was genius when I read someone else had done this – I believe it was Vicki Boutin!

I love the organic look that ink-smooshing gives – almost like alcohol ink in the ribbons it creates when drying. To give it more interest, I also splattered the panel with white paint.

While my panel dried, I die-cut the word January 4 times – 3 in white and one in white glitter cardstock. I stacked them to give to give some height to the word before adhering it to my ink-smooshed panel.
