We’re one day till the MFT release! Be sure to come back tomorrow for inspiration from the entire MFT design team! The release goes live at 10am EDT! Today, I’m sharing a card made using a few new sets – but my focus is on the Lots of Hearts Cover-Up Die-namics.
I love these hearts in all the different sizes. I die-cut twice, once to color with Copics and a second time to be used as a drop shadow. Using Copic markers (0, R00, RV10, RV11, R85), I color only the right side of the hearts and blended left with lighter shades. I trimmed the second panel on the right side by about 1/8″ and lined up the right side of the two panels before gluing them together to create the drop shadow.
My background is created by ink-blending Tattered Rose and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide Inks. I did some light splattering with some dark red acrylic ink, but most of it is covered up. Once dry, I adhered the Lots of Hearts Cover-Up panel over the ink-blended panel with foam adhesive for dimension.
The Lots of Love Die-namics is a free die with a qualifying purchase this month and I LOVE it! I die-cut it from black cardstock and adhered it to a piece of white cardstock to cut a halo so that it would pop more on top of the Lots of Hearts panel. I also die-cut the heart using Tickled Pink cardstock to in-lay for some extra interest. Finally, I embossed my sentiment and lay it over the top of the word.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you tomorrow!
